WHAT IT IS
It's a guitar designed to make it fun and easy to play music. Loog guitars come with flashcards that teach you how to form chords, and an app that gets you playing songs on day one. We have songs by The Beatles, The Stones, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and more, and you can play karaoke-style and learn through Augmented Reality.

Our 3-string guitars use the first three strings -and tuning- of a regular guitar. Therefore, finger placement and everything you learn can be applied on a 6-string guitar too. It's a seamless transition, approved by educators, that allows kids to learn on a Loog and then play any guitar.
THE GUITAR
The new Loog electric guitars have a built-in amplifier and speaker. Yep. We managed to fit an amplifier and a speaker in there! And we did it in a quite subtle way; there’s virtually no extra weight, no awkward knobs or controls and the classic Loog guitar silhouette stays unchanged.
It’s quite something -and quite liberating- to be able to get bluesy crunchy tones, unplugged! And, of course, you can still plug your Loog to an external amp if you want to. (Side benefit: Your Loog is now a pretty cool travel guitar!)

When you get a Loog you get more than just a guitar — you get an instrument bundled with everything you need to learn to play songs. There are flashcards that teach you how to form chords, and an app that gets you playing songs on day one.
The Loog Guitar app has an AUGMENTED REALITY feature that allows you to learn guitar using the selfie camera.
The Loog app also has a tuner, video lessons, games, and a digital songbook so you can learn to play guitar by playing real songs.

There's a fill-in-the-blanks game for you to complete chords (great for ear-training and building memory), a Simon-like game that you can play by tapping on the screen or on your Loog guitar (instead of random sounds and lights, you see a fretboard with the real placement of notes) and more.

FAQS
Are electric guitars actually suitable for beginners? Shouldn't they start with an acoustic guitar?
Not really. In fact, some argue that it’s easier to start with an electric guitar, because the strings are closer to the fretboard and that makes them more comfortable to play. We suggest going with whatever model you like best.
Can I still plug these built-in amp guitars to an external amplifier?
Oh yes. These guitars have a standard jack and you can plug them to any amp and they'll behave just like any electric guitar (and the built-in amp will be bypassed).
What kind of battery do the new Loog electric guitars use, and how long do they last?
The built-in amp works with one standard 9v battery and lasts up to 160 hours.
Will the app work with any guitar?
Certain functionalities of the app, including the Augmented Reality feature, will only work with Loog guitars.
